Potomac Homes Assisted Living began providing homes to elderly clients in the Northern Virginia area in November 1999. Linda McCorkindale,RN felt a strong desire to provide a smaller, family-like environment where quality of living for the elderly was a priority. Within this type of environment the resident could receive improved supervision, medical care oversight, attention to personal grooming and a sense of family.
Potomac Homes - Galanis Drive accepted it's first resident in November 1999. The home grew & is now home for eight residents. Galanis Drive received a three-year license from the State of Virginia for substantially exceeding standards in March of 2000. Galanis Drive has sustained a three-year license continually since that time.
Linda's dedication to the Home shines through in all corners of the house. From its bright, clean environment, to the large vegetable garden out back, to the delicious meals offered throughout the day. Staying at Potomac Homes Assisted Living is a truly memorable and fun experience. Linda and her staff pride themselves in taking excellent care of their cherished residents and making them feel at home from the first moment they step in the home.
